corrupt win media center

I believe that some of the files on my hard drive a corrupted. Cannot get past the blackscreen. I keep getting told to restart the computer, it is on a permanent loop. I do not have the media center disk to repair or reinstall it. Is there anyway to get past this.

Not knowing your Operating System can you try tapping F8, or F5 on some systems, to get to the advanced options window and select last known good configuration. If that fails try a system restore. safe mode
