A bit of a problem with KB 2510531 but it seems to have resolved itself.

Eventually when you resolve this thread you have to click on the arrow on the right and it will turn green and that will be it resolved Leave it on green. Just thought I would mention that in case you did not know.

What arrow on the right, buteman?

I have only a grey tick that says: "Click to select this as the answer. Click to toggle." ... whatever that means.

Oops ... it turned green. Magic.

found the big xp update was very slow to install, anyone else get the slowness.

on w7 it was very quick

Yes, sunnystaines, twenty minutes or so and then a restart.

Task Manager said mscorsvw.exe was compiling .net framework assemblies: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/davidnotario/archive/2005/04/27/412838.aspx Even then, installing "native images" for it goes on for quite a while in the background.

Also the MSRT takes a while to run. I`ve forgotten what the exe. for it is, though.

Needless to say Comodo took the hump as well and needed two reassurances that Microsoft wasn`t up to any dirty tricks.
