internet explorer 9/windows 7

Hi I have windows 7 on my laptop and recently upgraded to IE9 ever since then i get the message quite often that internet eeplorer has topped working and has to close. before i upgraded to IE9 there was no problem and now i cant seem to go back to IE8. can someone help with this as to what is best to do.

Either go to tools.Internet options.Advanced and press reset which should fix any problems on IE9. Or go to add remove.Turn Windows features on or off. If IE9 is ticked untick it and wait for it to remove it. IE/8 should then take over providing you had it on your computer.

Hi Buteman,
When I removed IE9 the way you have said, it removed it fine but did not restore IE8 that I was useing before.
I finished up with no browser installed and had to do a csystem restore.

I'd install Google Chrome and forget about IE9. If you really must you can then use Chrome to download and run IE8 after you've removed IE9. But Chrome is a better and faster browser.
