Hmmm, had me fooled for a moment, looks so clean and crisp that I thought swmbo had done a spring clean. Well done to all, so far so very good!!

There were some things that needed fixing with the site and with the forums.

For example while PCA has very good ranking with Google the search engine optimisation needed work. With poor SEO less people can find the site, so that was one definite point behind some of the changes.

We know a lot of people don't like change but our aim is to improve rather than simply tinker.

Everything is done for a reason but nothing is sacrosanct and can be changed again/back if that's what works best.

We've been living with this new site for a few weeks now, getting things ready for everyone, and going back to the old site was quite a shock after a while - it was so tired in many places and needed freshening up.

Keep coming back, giving us feedback and you'll feel the same way, I'm sure.

What have you done? What was wrong with the old format? For goodness sake, we knew where we were with the old format.

I give up.

OK might have jumped in too quick. Will give it a few days to get the hang of it.

Sorry, just noticed couple more problems...

We're are now posting on page 3 of this thread, but after each fresh post the page is reverting/refreshing back to the first page. It ideally needs to behave like it did before the changes - i.e. refresh to the same page one is posting to.

On a much lesser note, the 'Title' field no longer exists to thread responders - screenshot for a better understanding http://img858.imageshack.us/img858/1227/lefieldmissinginnewforu.jpg. Not really necessary I guess, but whenever it was used in the past, will those posts now have this info missing? G

Just as I thought. but it may not work if I post strait away without going back to the front cover of the thread. Just trying it.

No it will only post if you go right back to the list of threads. It will not let you post again unless you do that.

Try it

Like Woodchip have problems posting without leaving thread first.

Dislike posts immediately throwing you to first page.
