Hi,, I need a knew Graphics card and I am leaning towards a single AMD Sapphire HD6870.. I'm wondering if it will suit my Motherboard which is designed to hold twin SLI mounted cards (GeForce 8800GT's) or should I just stick with NVidia cards?.. My kit is as follows : -

Motherboard : MSI P6N SLIV2
Windows 7 HP 64bit SP1
Core2 Quad Q6600 @2.40 Ghz
RAM : 4gb

Thanks JoanSims

Though your motherboard has SLI which is a Nvidia format for twin cards you certainly can put 1 AMD card in one of the slots wuth no problems.

Remember to remove the Nvidia drivers for your current card before installing the drivers for your new card. Its better to go and get the latest drivers from the amd website as your driver disk that comes with the card will almost certainly be out of date.click here

I have the the 6870 and am very pleased with the results in gaming etc.
