The only icons that are now lit up in blue are the "wired" "modem" and "internet". I can no longer use my laptop but am still able to use my main pc. I have tried the reset button and switching it off at the mains but nothings working. Im useless with technology and dont know what to do next?

Presumably your main PC connects to the router by ethernet cable and the Laptop connects "wirelessly"?

If so, try deleting the existing wireless "profile" which Windows will have saved and then go through the procedure to Connect again. How you do this varies slightly depending on which version of Windows you're using.
