My PC froze and the guy at the shop re
-installed Windows (Vista
Professional).

I am trying to re-set up the internet
connection again at home. It's a desktop that
connects via a USB network adaptor.

Via my laptop, I've downloaded and
installed the drivers for the Network
adaptor.

I've checked the mac adress for the PC
is on the router .

THe PC can see the wireless network, but can't connect.

So I'm getting this message:

Windows cannot connect to Wilbury
'view the wireless network adaptor settings to verify they are compatible with this network.....'

- don't really know what to do next......I've looked in the adaptor properties, but it doesn't mean anything to me......can anyone help?

PS can i attach a screen print in this forum?

Thanks.

Hello 124. Why do you consider that Mac address filtering is pretty "much worthless" I thought that is was a good security idea.

Check that the Keyboard language is set to UK English. Ive just done an XP reinstall and must have selected US English - couldnt connect because the code I kept typing didnt match the keys on the keyboard?
