Well 1st of all you will need a wireless router... do you ave one? if so which one? both computer and laptop need to be wireless enabled.

You need to buy a USB wireless adapter, which you connect to a USB port on the desktop

Load software for the adapter, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the LAN port and set up the wireless adapter to connect to your wireless network

Please Note

It is strongly recommended by All router suppliers that you use a physically connected cable to the Router via a Ethernet RJ45 cable for router setup.

Using a wireless connected computer for setup is NOT recommended to access router setup at any time.

As you can corrupt the router when the router is saving the new setting via wireless

You will also lose the wireless signal when the router is rebooting
