Cannot delet temp files

I do not seem to be able to delt all the temp file on my desk top. I,m running windows xp with internet explorer 8.

I have tried the %temp% in run I select all and then delete but dozen and dozens of then remain.

Can anyone help please?

Thank s for the tips guys reallt grateful.

Out of interest can anyone give me any idea ehy the normal window delete system was not removing all my temp files?

Or maybe.Right click C Drive.Properties.Clean Up.

Have you tried under Tools.Delete Browsing History.
