My Norton anti-virus has detected Bloodhound Exploit 281 and quarantined it. There are several other files in quarantine but none can be deleted even when live update is done. details on Symantec site say it's low threat but how can I delete quarantined items or are they there permanently? Is there any way to prevent these viruses coming in no matter what? Many thanks for any advice or procedures.

you will never stop all of them...
Only real way to reduce the risk is to be more vigilant about where you point your PC, do a bit more research before you open anything your not sure of...
link will help with removing files...

My Norton anti-virus is a corporate edition but I don't see anything showing what version it is. I do know it's a couple of years old but I perform live updates weekly on it.

Apologies, it isn't Norton but Symantec anti-virus Corporate edition.
