My elderly parents have a Toshiba D-VR17KB DVD/VCR Recorder but since the digital switchover have been unable to record to VCR from TV. Is there a resetting required?

As far as I know you cannot record digital programs to a VCR - but if you can somebody will know.

If they are using the tuner in the recorder it is analogue and will no longer work. The cheapest solution is to buy a set top box (STB) and connect this to the recorder.
