Desktop at start up

My desptop and startbar will not appear at startup and leaving me only with my wallpaper. I can only start programmes by going in through task manager. I have also tried restoring to an earlier date but this made no difference.

Right clicking on the desktop has no effect and the win key does not work

Can anyone help me?

Hi, press ctrl and Esc, your taskbar should re-appear.

i seem to have the same problem? can you see your shortcut icons as they have disspaeeared on mine to however the computer works fine via task manager? have you found any viruses as mine came up clear?
How did you resolve your problem in the end?
