wretched magnifier won't go away

Hi All. I feel sure there's a simple answer to this.
How can I stop the startup magnifier?
It comes up at boot in various sizes, sometimes so large it obscures other items.
It takes ages to close usually getting the (not responding) message.
I've looked but can't find it to disable it.
I'm running Vista 64x and loving it but this is doing my head in.
Thanks, John

Click Start --- Go to All Programs --- Go to Accessories --- Go to Ease of Access --- Go to Ease of Access Center --- Click the blue link titled Make computer easier to see --- UNCHECK turn on Magnifier --- Click Apply and then exit... Restart computer and make sure that magnifier does not start upon startup.

PS

Also check Start, all programs, start up, and if it is listed there right click and delete.

I had a similar issue but only happened when my son was playing online games.

Three months it took me to find out the cause, believe it or not,it was a side button on my mouse that had been assigned using the MS software for the MS Elite 5000.

Crazy i know, these little things are here to test us.

Glad your sorted John.
