Word Forgetting Settings

I have a Samsung Laptop running Win7 and use Word 2003 (a lot!). Many Reports and Papers need diagrams and I've become a dab-hand at drawing using the drawing toolbar. However, I've noticed recently that Word is 'forgetting' the settings made under Options whereas it used to store the changes.

Most notable are the 'Do not set drawing canvas' and 'No of previous files displayed' (might not be totally correct wording btw).

It used to remember all this - has something broken/changed?

Have you used something like CCleaner this can delete word's cache

Yes I do use CCleaner about once a fortnight (together with JRT, AdAware etc), but I always reboot afterwards. Doesn't it rebuild the cache on a reboot?

Yes it will but any saved settings will have been lost

go into CCleaners -Applications and scroll down to word and untick it.
