Wireless mouse

I have just updated to vista with a clean install. I cannot use my mouse which is a Belkin wireless one. When I used it in XP there was no need for software as xp found it immediately. Can someone advise as I cannot install vista drivers for my mobo.

Have you looked on the Belkin website for updated drivers - using an old-fashioned wired rodent?

You shouldn't need any drivers for the basic mouse function as it works from USB and is OS independent , have you made the association between the base unit and the mouse using the " connect " button .

the lights on mouse and base unit are working as normal and as should be. The cursor just won't move.

Normal ps2 mouse working as you can see but still cannot get the wireless one to work. tried all permutations available.
Have to update mobo drivers for vista so will see if that has any effect.

The wireless mouse is now working as the vista drivers for the mobo updated the plug and play aspect of the computer. Strange but true.
Thanks for the replies.
