Before handing on my old PC to my son he asked if I could reload windows 7 to remove any customisation I had done.

I reloaded windows and had expecting it to load the ethernet drivers on completion found it hadn't so did what i thought was another clean install believing I had made a mistake.

Reloaded windows the same thing happened so I downloaded the ethernet drivers on my new PC transferred then over and got that working.

When I now boot the rebuilt PC it offer the option of 2 Win 7 options in the boot menu with a countdown of about 18 seconds delaying start up.

Can I either resuce the boot time option or better still remove the option all together ?

Thanks

HXP

This explains a bit more for W7.

Use EasyBCD, as linked.

Click Edit boot menu. Then the spurious entry then Delete button. Then Save button. Quit.

Don't be tempted to mess around any further. Boot files are important and easy to break.

Changing boot time is also there. That's OK to change.
