Anyone an idea when IE8 will be ready to download for use with Windows 7?

Thanks all.

Not sure what you mean. I use IE8 with W7 now......perfectly.

anskyber is right-I also use it on W7-no problems whatever

I also use IE8 with W7 RC but the version for sale in Europe doesn't come with IE8 and the present (XP, VISTA) IE8 won't work with W7

'the present (XP, VISTA) IE8 won't work with W7'

It certainly does on mine.

Did it come with the Beta or Rc version of W7. If it did it is apparently only a beta version (Microsoft), the final W7 version is still not ready for download at the moment.

I just downloaded IE8 from Microsofts site and installed it.

.. it certainly isn't a beta version the version number is 8.0.71000.0.

just rechecked the Microsoft IE 8 site and Windows 7 is still not listed as a supported Operating System.

'Windows 7 is still not listed as a supported Operating System.'

But have you tried it?

According to one of the Microsoft Download pages Explorer 8 for ""Windows7"" will be available later.
