Vista wont let me delete my files

Got to admit I am on the verge of reverting to XP. Latest problem of many is that Vista wont let me delete TV programmes that I have recorded and watched. Apparently I dont have permission. Hang on..I own the pc, I am the administrator, whose damn permission do I need? I am getting progressively more and more sick of Vista every day

Try taking ownership of the file click here

Thanks Skidzy that worked. I have a folder on the desktop with numerous other folders in it and then files inside each of those folders. This has been on the desktop for over a month as it wont delete as I dont have permission. Right clicking on the parent folder or the folders inside doesnt bring up the Take Ownership option, only on the individual files

Forget that I am going mad. It does bring up an entry on the right click menu for folders as well as files. Thanks
