Hi all
Just wondering if I have heard or read this correctly. Is it true that I can contact Dell (I have an Dell Inspiron 530 and a Dell XPS 1730 Laptop both running 32 bit Vista Ultimate) and ask for upgrade disks to Vista Ultimate 64 for a reasonable fee? I did email them and they telephoned from the USA this week to follow up my enquiry. I believe I was offered the disks for eithe $106 or £106(the line was pretty bad). As the line wasn'y clear I declined then but said I would be in contact by email. In rectrospect it seems agood offer. I would be grateful if anyone out there has done this before and maybe knows a uk link. I am not that fussed about the upgrade but was just curious to see if it was posible relatively cheaply. I had this theory that my dual core processors would be more efficient with a 64 bit system.Again any comments wouild be welcome.

I understand that you need a computer geared with at least 4GB of memory to run 64bits. I could be wrong! others will know.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. Both my computers have 4gb of memory and room for more.
