Vista and security.

Had disabled Defender a while ago as I don't think much of it.
So I had the red security icon in sys tray. I'd also disabled UAC.

Today I updated Ccleaner to the new version and re enabled UAC to see if Ccleaner would run, which it did ok.
Had a look in security center and it said that Spybot was snoozing?
So I then re-enabled Tea Timer and the security warning logo disappeared. All systems green. Never knew Vista recognised Spybot before.

I had the same thing with the Windows Vista firewall , I downloaded the free PC Tools one and Vista recognised it right away , although it says the the firewall " tells " Vista that it is there , maybe there is a component that has to tell Vista that it is running , which may have not been there before until it was updated .
