Vista problems

My computer.
Athlon 9860 quad cpu, 4GB ram, Gforce 8500GT, sata 300 hard drives X 4.
For some months now vista 64 has been playing up, it has been resetting permissions so drives other than ‘C’ are read only.

Also I keep my docs on another drive including the email folder.
Start my computer, check emails and vista has reset the email folder to default on ‘C’ drive, at least once a week this happens.

To recover, format the drive, copy over backup of my docs, reset the drive permissions (till next time) and all is ok again.
I have found a programe that cures all of these strange happenings.

Start computer insert XP pro cd, format ‘C’ and bin vista, install XP.
Computer is now running better, faster and No More Problems.

Tick Resolved

Just seems a waste to lose a good O/S
