Vista on new computer creating problems

I'm having problems with my new computer in that it is freezing on certain pages (even when I logged into pc advisor and hotmail today) and text is often superimposed over other text so it is virtually unreadable.
Could anyone tell are these problems typical of vista?

Computer shipped with avg 8 installed. It is only two weeks old.
I've run avg regularly.
Graphics up to date.
I'll try and reset though.

Tried reset although not sure if anything has changed.

Go back to Dealer with your problem. You may need to start looking for a refund or warranty repair.

Make sure you have all your paperwork and packaging just in case.

New machines should not give you problems like this.

I think I will give them a try as you are right it is too early to start having problems.
