All versions of Windows Vista will be more secure than Windows XP as Microsoft have made some significant upgrades.

This site gives a run down of the new security features:

SECURE Vista is already hacked Microsoft will tell you the moon is made of cheese just to sell it and cost is far higher than the USA RIP OFF BRITAIN.

This post had nothing to do with the price of Vista

pk46, guess what: you don't have to buy it. Linux is free - use that.

Yes Kate B i have given a number of Linux programs
a try but i can't get my old head around them it's to bloody complicated for me.

pk46 - don't be put off with linux it isn't complicated really just a little different to the way windows works.

if you have a particular problem please feel free to post here - as there a few linux users on the board. linux isn't for everyone but for some once you've used it you won't want to go back to using windows.

All versions are more secure (or so Microsoft claim - we'll have to wait and see). Windows Vista Home Basic is comparable with XP Home, Vista Home Premium with XP Media Centre 2005, Vista Business with XP Professional and Vista Ultimate is a completely new 'super OS'. For UK prices, click here. (Yes, I know - it's PCWorld, but don't be put off!)
