my new pc with vista recognises my epson d88 and printing with it was fine, but when the ink ran out, it wouldnt give me the option to change it,just the options to head clean etc.. ive tried deleting the previous software and downloading "compatable" software off the epson site but it does the worked fine when i had XP
i dont want to buy another printer as this is pretty new, i just need someone to advise me on what to do, im quite new to pc's and dont understand tech jargon!!

Need software utilities to change the cartridges, Just open the cover (the carriage should slide over to allow access to the ink carts) Then change them.

And the printer.

Switch the printer on on its own, and see if that works, if not you may have a duff printer.

With Epsons you have to press and hold a button to move the cartridges to the position so as you can replace them, in the case of the D88 press the ink button click here
