Vista email client problem

Hi I'm trying to help a mate with his new Vista Laptop, I don't have Vista myself.

The problem is his default email client is set as Outlook (a trial version).

Is windows mail (or whatever it's called) installed already, and all that needs to be done is the default prog altered, or will he need to download this?

It's already installed on most systems. Go to the start orb, type Default in the empty search bar, click Default Programs when it appears, choose Windows Mail.

Thanks, I will see if I can get it setup later.

If for some reason it's not installed ,go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, click Turn Windows Features On or Off, tick Windows Mail there.
