Vista Desktop Backgrounds not showing

  rawprawn 08:58 08 May 07

If I click on Control Panel/Personalisation/Desktop Background/Windows Wallpapers (or any other of the Browse selections) I just get a"Vista" icon and no picture, so I can't see which to choose. They used to load with the pictures. Can anyone help? I would try system restore, but I have no idea how long they have been like that as It's a while since I changed the wallpaper.

Sounds as if the link to the wallpaper folder has been broken.

Press browse and navigate to the folder, on mine its: OS_install(C:)- Windows - Web - Wallpaper.

Sorry for the delay replying, I got called away. I think that you are right but I can't find the folder. Can you give any more information? I will keep looking

Thanks for your help, I have found the culprit that killed the link (Advanced Windows Care) and I have restored the backups it made. Problem solved.
Thanks Rawprawn.
