Vista automatic updates

  hssutton 09:26 17 Mar 07

I was in the process of downloading a 2Gb card of photos, when the following message flashed up on my screen "Logging-Off" " configuring updates". and with no further warning proceeded to shut down.

On reboot I then get the message that updates have been downloaded and are ready to be installed.
The saying about carts and horses come to mind.

Fortunately no damage to my photo files occurred.

Have now changed settings to "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them".

Maybe other users should do the same.

Maybe you didn't notice?

FE yes you're probably correct, I certainly didn't notice it. I wonder how many other users didn't notice it and finish up losing valuable files.
