Viewing photographs in Windows 8

Windows 8 is driving me nuts!

I can list all the pictures in a folder, I can see all the thumbnails, but when I click on them all I get is a blue screen with a logo in the middle, I cannot see any of the pictures.

HELP!

Its OK, got it sorted, you have to define Windows Photo Viewer as the default app!

Windows 8? What a dreadful program!

I use the desktop instead of the tiles for email, browsing, photo viewing and find it faster and better than 7. Some tiles I do use though, so the best of both worlds for me.
