Using Classic XP Windows Explorer in Windows 7

I have searched the forum without success so can someone please help or point me to a forum post?

I am now using Windows 7 but hate the new Windows 7 Explorer. I am so used to the Classic XP style (and never changed to Vista where I suppose I could have got used to the new style).

Can anyone please advise me if there is a way to use the classic explorer on Windows 7?

Thanks

Thanks, canarieslover, I tried this but it doesn't really replicate Explorer. However, I have found the answer myself elsewhere. Download xplorer2 from zabkat.com

Installing Classic Shell

To install Classic Shell, double-click the ClassicShellSetup.exe file. During installation, you have a choice to install the Classic Start Menu, the Classic Explorer, or both.
XP Start Menu
Once installed, the XP Start Menu is available.
XP Windows Explorer
When you open Windows Explorer, you will notice that it doesn’t look any different from the Windows 7 version. Classic Shell allows you to add a Classic Explorer Bar to emulate the XP functions. To activate Classic Explorer Bar, right-click on the menu bar and select Classic Explorer Bar from the pop-up menu.

The Classic Explorer Bar is added to the upper-right corner of the Windows Explorer window.
To change settings for Classic Explorer click the Classic Explorer Settings button on the right end of the toolbar. The Settings for Classic Explorer dialog box displays. Change the desired settings and click OK.

When you change the Navigation pane style, the change does not take effect until you restart Windows Explorer.

Hi, In XP I could right click the top toolbar in a folder and customise so as to add Cut Copy Paste etc icons on the toolbar. Is there any way to do this in Windows 7. Thanks
