usb mouse probs

I brought two mikomi usb mice from argos, click here|category_root|Office%2C+PCs+and+phones|10198997/c_2/2|cat_10198997|Keyboards+and+mice|10199149/c_3/3|cat_10199149|PC+mice|10199150.htm one for me one for mum.
My lappy installed it without a blink, mums it will not install despite the message saying the hardware had installed correctly and was ready for use.
Any help much appreciated

No joy with your link im afraid but do you mean click here ?

Check Device manager for any problems first.
Windows key + Pausebreak / Device Manager / agree to UAC / Mice and other pointing devices.

Also check control panel (classic view) and see if your mouse has been selected,this maybe using an old setting from your old mouse.Though as its usb,it should just use the Vista generic driver.

Sorry skidzy, finger trouble. Yes thats the one.
I'll double check you suggestions when I go to mums, I checked under device man and it showed no probs.
