i'm trying to completely erase my hard drive with SecurErase.
I boot up from the cd fine, but then i find the mouse wont move the arrow to perform the tasks
I have Vista installed and i want to completley erase it and re-install Vista again.
Has anyone any ideas as to why i cant move the arrow

I can only think that the mouse driver has been erased. can you try to reload it.

Are you using a usb mouse?

  peter99co 19:57 10 Oct 08

You need to use the standard mouse. Nothing else will move it. Except the arrow keys

Thanks for you replies
Yes i'm using the standard mouse not a usb one,but still doesnt move the arrow
Could Vista block it somehow...or do i need to adjust something in the bios?
Just clutching at straws here any suggetsions most appreciated

Dban click here or Killdisk click here

Can you elaborate on your problems, you should be able to reinstall Vista from the dvd without using any wiping tools.

I'm a believer in Paragon Disc Wiper which was on PC Advisor DVD December 2007. You can erase whole disc or just Empty Spaces. You can choose how thorough the erasing is. Have just it several times on various Computers and never had a problem.
And what i like is it is FREE
