Setting User Account Control?

A friend has recently gone on to Vista on her new pc. She has installed Spywareblaster (a very good program by the way) and each time the program is opened for updating a User Account Control box pops up asking whether she recognizes the program - click "yes" to allow the program to continue.

In my experience (for firewalls etc) it has been possible to select "yes" with an option to "always accept this program in the future". Can the same thing be done on Vista's User Account Control?

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on this matter - many thanks.

It's one of the annoying things about UAC that it doesn't learn, I'm afraid.

Thanks Kate B for the reply - how depressing!

Like many users just switch the UAC off.

I did.

Thanks Riojaa - I will suggest she gives that a try, although I'm sure Microsoft wouldn't approve!
