Thanks for your response I am running Movie Maker 6 on Vista Ultimate, CPU Amd x2 5200, nVidea 8800GTX, 2 Gig RAM.

Its a weird problem that has got me beat.

I have used MM without any problems making films to show in Power Point presentations (Office 2007) then out of the blue I could not insert a film I had made into PP without the programme crashing. Any film I now make crashes PowerPoint.

Old films insert no problem. To add to the mystery I inserted the same film I made into PP on my laptop (running Vista and office 2007) and it worked fine.

I have run office diagnostics it found no issues so I repaired office from the disk. I have rolled back the system run System file check all to no avail.

I got in touch with Microsoft who only said it must be a problem with Movie Maker.

I use a lot of these films for my work and I am stumped.
