I currently run windows 7 home premium on both my PC and laptop (64bit). I wish to remotely access the pc from the laptop via the home network. As home prmium does not support this should I upgrade to windows 7 professional to get6 this facility or purchase seperate software? Cheers

The really simple way would to be to use Teamviewer which allows both remote control and access to files, either over the LAN or over the internet.
