readyboost, has anybody improved their performance

has anybody seen any performance increase when using readyboost? I have a laptop with 1gb of memory and im using a sandisk 2gb usb flash drive enhanced for windows readyboost. Ive been timing differant tasks like transcoding video and how long it takes vista to boot. It took the same time to perform the tasks with or without ready boost. so now im wondering if readyboost works at all.

This is one of the more helpful articles I have read and it is interesting where improvements can be expected bearing in mind it's not the same or intended to be the same as RAM. click here

i had 1 gig of ram with a 2 gig flash drive for readyboost and seen no difference at all, upgraded ram to 2 gig and computer runs faster so readyboost did not work for me
