Printing with Windows 7

I am having problems printing on my network. When I attempt to print a document its opening up a 'print to file' window and is looking for 'print files' although when I put in the file name I want printed it will not support this - anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?
I printed the same document about 20mins ago fine but changed the paper setting on my printer and its gone and wet itself. My printer is a Canon mp620.

many thanks for the help

Are you certain that your MP620 is ticked as the default printer? You can check this in Start/Control Panel/Hardware & Sound/Devices and Printers. It should have a green tick over it.
