Hi there,

I've recently started having problems with a recording software I use (camtasia) and thought the problem may concern my recording device. At first my stereo mix appeared unavailable so I updated my sound card driver and restarted my computer etc. Now it is fully visible on the 'recording devices' menu but appears as disabled. When I right click and choose to enable nothing happens. I have also gone to properties and selected enable before applying changes, yet still no change, it continues to display disabled. Can anyone help? Would be great as I currently cannot record due to this problem.

Thanks, Nath

P.s: I have right clicked and tried to set it as my default recording device however this option is greyed out and can't be selected.

Try device manager and roll back the driver. In windows update hide any audio updates available to stop it reinstalling the problem driver.
