Well thanks for the link but it's all a bit of a nothing really. A similar process was adopted for XP and many manufacturers chose not to go through the process but still produced XP compliant software.

I have quite a lot working fine on Vista where manufacturers have produced Vista compliant software but are not on the list. I don't expect things to change from the XP experience.

I had 126 programs on my main XP PC.

Most of them worked immediately when I installed Vista.

Apart from some driver issues (only two are outstanding), all was well.

The list means little to Vista users as there are not enough vendors taking part that DO work fine with Vista.
