No vista drivers for Epson stylus pro 5000

Can't get my old but still superb printer to run under vista and now see on the Epson site that they will not be offering vista drivers for this admittedly elderly printer. I know I should have checked before shelling out shedloads of cash but assumed that vista ultimate would be backwardly compatible with top end printers like Epson Stylus Pro 5000. I would be most grateful for any solutions, but failing that, is it easy to revert to XP Pro which worked perfectly with the printer. Thanks.

Be worth a try, from the link, download and install the 4800 driver only for Vista,

You may lose some functionality, but it may get you going.

failing that you really on have two options...Revert to XP, or buy a new printer...They really are quite cheap now.
