PROBLEMS RUNNING MS EXCEL 97 WITH VISTA HOME PREMIUM

Microsoft Excel, as part of MS Office 97 has been working OK since installed back in August 2007.

Recently on starting up Excel, instead of just opening, Microsoft Visual Basic runs a file 1EB07000 – AutoExec (Code) and a panel opens saying “Compile error: Can’t find project or library.

Underneath that panel is another headed PDFWriter.xla – RegistrationDatabase (Code) and ……..

Underneath that panel again is the PDFWriter.xla – AutoExec (Code)

I have not knowingly made any alterations to the program that might cause this.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing MS Excel – Also done the same for MS Office Suite but it does not get rid of the problem – Also restored Windows to a previous date!

Can anyone shed some light, please?
