Media player

I've just transferred songs ripped from CD onto vista and with certain artists ie. The Beatles, when I go to play it come up with 'You do not have the right to play this file'.
I have had no problem on xp. Is there anything I can do?

You have just discovered the joy's of DRM (digital rights management) If you do not own the original CD (if it's the Beatles maybe it was on vinyl?) Media player will not allow you to play the files.

If you do own the original album, I would be interested to know what Microsoft have to say, since you would not be breaking copyright.

Might be worth dropping them an email.

Look in Tools, options, under Rip Music and Make sure Music Protection is not ticked.

I Missunderstood your thread, I thought you were ripping music into media player.
I`ve copied all my music into medioa player (MP3s)
and havn`t had any trouble.
