Just wondering why these aren't included

I am a Vista fan but I wonder why some simple utilities are not included in an operating system that has bundled so many other applications.

Why no file shredder and secure wipe app and why no registry cleaner?

OSX has a secure delete option. I would have thought these basics would be a part of any modern OS.

I suppose Microsoft could not include everything with Vista,
Somethings needed to be left out and these were some of them sadly.

Also , because every time Microsoft add another app to an operating system some other company starts bleating that they can't compete with Microsoft's commercial muscle and takes them to court asking for 10's of millions of dollars compensation , the EU courts start going on about anti competitive practices and also ask for millions in fines , so what would you do ? Pay up and look big , or just leave them out !!

All tose apps are available as freeware anyway, CCleaner does them.
