I thought I had a virus....

For the last couple of nights my PC running Win7 64bit has been acting up. Last night it really went mad. Windows were opening and closing all by themselves, moving all over the screen and the whole machine shutdown and restarted without any help from me.

Fearing a Virus attack I struggled on and ran Malwarebytes and a couple of other programmes. No virus, no nothing.

Finally the penny dropped and I kicked myself all over the room.

I replaced the batteries in the mouse and all was well again.

I shall now write 100 lines - "Don't overlook the obvious"

Occam's razor.

It's embarrassing sometimes, but we all do it.

I'll let you off the 100 lines, just carry my briefcase to the car, and you can go home.
