I have had a photo on my laptop for years but now I want to copy it I can't find it on the computer and it won't let me copy straight from the desktop Where should I look for this ?

For W7 - click start, Control Panel, Personalisation. Bottom left, click Desktop Background - it should give its location on the hard drive.

Do you mean the background / wallpaper?

Depends on which Windows you have

onthelimit1, Thanks for that :) I'd lost track of my desktop pic and was able to easily find it by clicking on 'Desktop Background' via your instructions. Another thing I've learnt :)

I can't understand your question clearly, first tell me about the image, what type of image you are talking about and want to move it on desktop. And in which folder it would reside. Please clearly explain your problem so that I can understand what you are asking for and after that I can help you out.
