Roxio 9 is on the machine in fact I think it's glued to it.Is there a method to force it go to. Add remove programs in control panel doesn't do it.32BIT Vista HP
did you run as administrator cos i got rid of it thru add remove programs
Yes. It just stopped responding and I had to restart the computer. When it booted back up I couldn't get into Control Panel. I have since restored back to before I attempted to remove it.
To be honest I gave up trying to do the same.I read when trying to find an answer to it that the issue was something to do with Dells in particular where the DVD drive was "locked" into using the software. I decided it was not worth the candle to struggle on.
Oh?I've just started removing the programs via ccleaner. It seem successfully too.I hope my dvd drives don't get disabled.
if you use ccleaner you could try uninstalling from there
sorry i was typing i never saw your last post
thanks for your time.Roxio has to be the buggiest piece of software I have used. I hope this helps others get rid of it.I've downloaded the 15 day unrestricted free trial of Nero 8 til I buy a full copy.anskyber - my dvd drives are still there. I'll post back whe I've used nero 8 on them.
Well Nero trial wouldn't install.I'm at a loss with this thing today.Ouch my head.
Strange this, I had no problems, except for the usual driver blocked message.I had the full version of Roxio 9, so I removed that which came with the pc and installed the full. After doing the Drag to Disc replace again all has been fine.Lisa02, is it a UAC problem with the install or something else?
