Firewall problem...

Yesterday I installed COMODO Pro 3.0 firewall on my laptop, and disactivated the Windows (Vista) firewall. For some reason, the COMODO firewall created a number of problems when I turned on the computer this morning, and so I uninstalled it a short while ago via the control panel, and then reactivated the Windows firewall.
The problem is that according to the computer's security centre, the COMODO firewall is still installed and functional; I've tried a number of things, but cannot seem to get rid of the reference to COMODO.
Any ideas??

first there are details click here
secondly vista security panel doesnt register when a security program is removed (rather worryingly) you have to reset it, there are a few ways, first try disabling in services, reboot and restart, if this fails you may have to remove the cache folder and windows will create a new one click here
simplest way i found was to back up everything prior to trying any security folder, makes life simpler.
