I want to allocate OpenOffice to .pub file extensions but can't find where!
Help please.

Start - Default Programs - Click on Associate a file type or protocol with a program. Scroll down to pub then click on change program and browse to Open Office.

Alternatively find a .pub document and right click on it - choose open with and the choose default program

Thanks Woolwell. I am trying to find my way around a chums Vista.
I tried the first method of suggestion only to find .pub extension is not listed.
The second method doesn't provide an "open with" option.
Basically, it's a new Vista PC onto which I have transferred old XPPro data which includes some Office files.
I have installed OpenOffice3 hoping to get around the lack of Office.

Maybe it's not possible to open a .pub file with Open Office?

Looks like it's not possibe.

Puzzled by the lack of open with - it's a fair way down the list having done a right click.
