When I re-installed Free File viewer I seem to have installed FASTCLEAN PRO Now I am having trouble getting rid of it. I have tried Windows uninstaller but no joy. Can anyone tell me how to remove the program please.

See How to remove FastClean. You will need AdwCleaner.

You have to be very careful when downloading free programs, especially from cnet, that you untick everything otherwise you end up with malware.

Or instead of AdwCleaner Malwarebytes free.

Thank you Woolwell

Malwarebytes won't touch it, I have tried System Restore but FastClean is still there. Maybe now try AdwCleaner.

I note that cnet is involved in some of the download websites for AdwCleaner have you any ideas on a safe site.

Answer

Used Revo Uninstaller Pro (Free 30 day trial). That got rid of FastClean Pro.

Thanks Forum.

Thank you Fruit Bat.

Revo Uninstaller did not get rid of Astromender Search engine but ADWCleaner did. It's surprising what you may pick up if you are not careful. My computer is back to normal now.
