I've a list of values in column A that are totalled at the bottom and I'd like to set a formula so that when I enter a date at side of a particular value, that value does not go forward to the total. Can anyone advise how to do this please?

Assuming the date is in column B and you are using rows 1 to 20, put 0 in all B column cells and the formula in the total cell is:

=SUMIF(B1:B20"0",A1:A20)

This works but I'm sure there's a better way. I just can't work it out at the moment.
