Difficulties in getting back to Windows 8

It seems to me that there's a problem with Windows 8 in recovering the system when logging in is no longer possible. Worst offenders are laptops that come with no key attached on a label to the machine; as is Windows' trend now. No iso download is available as yet.

For laptop buyers I would strongly suggest that creating the 'factory restore discs' is the first and foremost thing to do when buying a laptop.

Once done then get rid of bum-ff and install your own security software.

I would also recommend buying a 'caddy' also called an 'enclosure' for a 2.5" hard drive so you can create an image or clone.

Up-to-date programs to think of,

Acronis

Paragon Hard disk Manager

Last but not least.

free todo-backup

and learn how to use them.

Will get you out of a pickle one day for a very small outlay.

No. I've tried but not working for me either. I've given up on it now.
